In early November, Pro Player added Kevin Kaczmarski to the coaching staff as a hitting and outfield instructor.
Kaczmarski is a former major leaguer, reaching the big leagues with the New York Mets in June 2018.
The outfielder played a total of five professional seasons, all with the Mets organization after being drafted in the 9th round by the NL East franchise in 2015. Kaczmarski hit .290 with a .370 on-base percentage across those five seasons, posting 13 home runs, 79 doubles, 22 triples, and 57 stolen bases. Prior to his promotion to the Mets in 2018, Kaczmarski was hitting .363 at Triple-A.
Kaczmarski played collegiately at Evansville, where he had a banner senior year in 2015 in which he led the nation in batting average (.465) and triples (9) and was second in on-base percentage (.543). He earned numerous postseason honors with notable marks as Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year and Louisville Slugger First Team All-American.
Kaczmarski played high school ball at Prairie Ridge.
